Over the past 10 years, Cambrex has developed extensive expertise in enzyme-catalyzed biotransformations.

Enzymatic Biocatalysis is used for efficient and environmentally friendly development and manufacturing of APIs and intermediates through enzymatic synthesis and provides highly pure regio-, chemo- and enantioselective compounds.

In addition to our pilot to commercial scale cGMP capability for a wide range of chiral alcohol and chiral amine syntheses and manufacture, we also provide custom development services and R&D screening using our enzymatic technology.

Using our proprietary EASOS® process technology and Superdehyrogenase® toolbox, we produce high conversion and high yield chiral alcohols with high enantiomeric excess. Cambrex's toolbox contains 160 cloned and over-expressed oxidoreductases with complementary substrate spectra and stereoselectivity suitable for large scale manufacturing.

Our experience with more than 10 commercial bioreduction processes using our efficient and easy technology allows us to provide customers with superior cost savings through to multi-ton scale operations.
