Cambrex offers many Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) products and a variety of services specialized for custom drug development and manufacture.  We provide services such as route selection, process & analytical development, process optimization & scale-up, safety assessments, and product formulation.  Cambrex also manufactures an extensive list of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates, controlled substances, fine chemicals, and chiral amines.

Cambrex supplies more than 70 generic APIs (including controlled substances) for pain management, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, central nervous system, endocrine and respiratory indications. We manufacture products using complex chemistry and technical expertise while maintaining our long-standing reputation of quality and reliability. We work with generic drug companies well in advance of drug patent expiration, utilizing a high quality, non-patent infringing process to manufacture the desired API.  To complement this service Cambrex also provides access to our Drug Master File (DMF) for the specified generic active pharmaceutical ingredient.
