Cambrex Tallinn provides custom organic synthesis and contract research and development for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry, focusing on our customer needs in quality, confidentiality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.

Cambrex Tallinn operates as an additional research and development resource to our Cambrex Karlskoga facility.  We have an exceptionally talented team of 20 chemists, seven of whom have a Ph.D. and eight with the first degree in chemistry. Our team has experience in managing research, documentation, and production.

Since Cambrex Tallinn is located close to the campus of Tallinn University of Technology in Tallinn Technology Park, we have strong collaborative links with some of their departments. These relationships enable Cambrex Tallinn to concentrate on contracts with industries while the University can provide new prospective investigation ideas and tools.

The company was established in 1989 as a spin-off from the Estonian Academy of Sciences. It started the operations under the name of Tensiid. In 2000, Tensiid was renamed ProSyntest and was introduced to the market as custom manufacturer of fine chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients and advanced intermediates as well as development of new chemical procedures. In January 2008, Cambrex acquired ProSyntest Ltd. and it is now a resource extention of Cambrex Karlskoga's Research & Development team.
